Job Opening: Supervisor, Warehouse EHS

Job Summary: Working with the Regional EHS Manager successfully integrate EHS into the functional operation of the facility by implementing systems, processes and procedures to prevent injuries to our associates and minimize the environmental impact of our operations. The ultimate goal is to achieve “zero harm” to our employees and those affected by our business operations.

This position reports to the Facility General Manager

Job Responsibilities: • Provide local EHS leadership by partnering with operational business functions to enable efficient knowledge transfer of key skills to managers, supervisors and employees • Build effective programs to ensure that all operations are fully compliant with Federal, State and local laws • Implement a comprehensive total facility inspection process to maintain regulatory compliance, ensure continuous improvement and facilitate the transfer of best practices across the business. • Develop and implement local initiatives that provide effective solutions to current, and anticipate, the changing business needs to build and sustain a world-class safety culture • In conjunction with the Regional EHS Manager and business, develop annual safety plans which adequately budget for, and address, the changing needs of the business • Manage and report on established company metrics while developing maintaining regional and local metrics which add value to the operations • Manage relationship with workers compensation, medical resources, and Regional Safety Organization to establish systems which provide appropriate care for associates and support the needs of the business. • Continually seek opportunities to improve the knowledge and skill of the facility supervisors to improve systems and positively impact the safe operations of the business • Implement and actively participate on both local Safety Committee and weekly Workers Compensation conference calls • Provide initial and annual OSHA, required training and maintain all required regulatory recordkeeping processes • Maintain all facility required environmental permitting including but not limited to RCRA/HazWoper, PSM, Stormwater, and SPCC and provide training as required • In conjunction with the Regional EHS Manager develop and implement an Injury and Illness Prevention Plan (IIPP) in accordance with OSHA requirements

Job Requirements: • BS/BA in an environmental or safety related discipline strongly preferred • 3+ years direct experience in fast paced, multi-location business environment • Strong management, organizational and communication skills • Proven track record of success through the development of multiple, meaningful, interpersonal relationships through the ability to influence, and skill to coach all levels of the facility • Excellent verbal and written skills as well as proficiency with EHS technology solutions, Microsoft Office Software and data management systems

Job Title: Procurement Manager Department: Operations Reports To: Plant Manager

SUMMARY Lead and manage the Procurement Department in the coordination of materials, purchasing, and inventory management to successfully supply operations/ manufacturing all materials to meet customer demand. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Supervise all inventory activities to include material scheduling, shipping and receiving data entry, cycle counts etc. • Responsible for inventory accuracy, turns and on-time delivery. • Inventory reduction and turns increase plans. • Ensure all scrap and substitution paperwork completed and inventory adjusted. • Verifies or prepares records such as routing slips, material requisitions, and job orders. • Develop and track key KPIs. • Implementation of Lean Manufacturing concepts. • Insures that plant is scheduled with production materials 3 weeks out consistently. • Responsible to minimize expedited shipments to control shipping costs. • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving issues. • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. • Ability to multi-task and react quickly to changing conditions and emergencies. • All other duties as assigned. •
QUALIFICATIONS • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each above listed duties satisfactorily. • Four year degree required coupled with minimum two plus years’ experience. • CPM or CPIM certification preferred • Lean Manufacturing certification a plus or practical experience implementing Lean concepts in a materials environment. • Proficient skills in MRP Systems (Epicor a plus), and Microsoft Office • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from other managers, clients, and customers. • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to plant conditions of heat, noise, moving mechanical parts/equipment and outside environment •

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Develop written pertinent onboarding sequence for new hires. • Set clear expectations for new hires through written and verbal formats. • Completely accountable for new hires’ progress: training, retention and skill development. • Set refresher training courses on pre-determined intervals: through yourself and through third party. • Engage all extrusion personnel in problem solving activities. Example: linking thermoforming quality and performance with extrusion sheet properties. • Develop extrusion people for working in other departments and for their next career advancement. • Hold regular departmental meetings where employee feedback is documented and turned into enforceable policies and executable Standard Operating Procedures. • Develop a framework of daily activities where the operators are naturally attuned to essential duties. • Define and implement important metrics the department will be held accountable for. • Develop and implement enforceable quality procedures. • Develop, consolidate and implement training materials. • Document skill levels for each team player. All skill gaps need to be remedied. • Extrusion and reclaim personnel need to be cross-trained using a planned schedule. • Introduce policies and new methods of working in reclaim and extrusion departments. • Fully responsible for acknowledgment and disciplinary actions of extrusion and reclaim departments. • Responsible to keep all necessary documentations to be compliant with city, state and federal safety regulations.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Must follow company policies and practices including, but not limited to, the company’s attendance policy and safety policy. • Must have ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in written form • Must have experience in statistics and be able to apply to process issues geared toward process improvement • Must have the ability to work in a fast paced production environment. • 2 years prior process development experience. Plastic extrusion and thermoforming experience preferred. • BS Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Mechanical Engineering Able to analytically think through abstract problems
